Senate Game & Fisheries Committee to Study Endangered and Threatened Species

HARRISBURG – The Senate Game and Fisheries Committee will examine state laws pertaining to endangered and threatened species during a public hearing at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) on January 10.

Senator Richard Alloway II (R-33), who chairs the committee, said the hearing would include a discussion of the regulatory process for listing threatened and endangered species, as well as a thorough examination of how this process impacts the business community and residential construction.

Testimony at the hearing will be provided by:

  • Carl G. Roe, Executive Director, Pennsylvania Game Commission,
  • John Arway, Executive Director, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission,
  • Shawn Good, Director of Governmental Affairs, PA Chamber of Business and Industry, and
  • Sarah Miller, Regulatory and Codes Specialist, PA Builders Association.•

The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology Auditorium on the IUP campus.
